Title: Senior Training Advisor
We are seeking a Senior Training Advisor to join our established team at Meandu on a 9 day fortnight roster.

Meandu Mine
BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.
Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
About the Role:
We are seeking a full time permanent Senior Training Advisor to join our team at Meandu on a 9 day fortnight roster. Reporting to the HST Superintendent, you will play an integral role in influencing the site's safety and production outcomes by ensuring our workforce has the necessary skills and competencies. You will have a strong focus on supervision of all mining and earthmoving equipment, and lead safe and effective production teams, as well as drive continuous improvement principles.
Key reponsibilities:
- Ensure the training compliance aspects of the site are managed to the appropriate regulatory and contractual framework
- Conduct regular audits of the site training systems to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement

Ensure effective, consistent and relevant training programs are provided for employees, contractors and visitors to site, in a timely and professional manner

Work cooperatively with corporate learning and development team members to ensure training system requirements and business needs are met

Comply with legislative changes and developments as well as changes to internal WHS procedures and instructions

Actively investigate enhancements to training documentation and processes that achieve improvements in performance, safety, job satisfaction and productivity

Ensure training related records are maintained accurately using Learning Management System and supporting tools
About You:
- Training experience in a heavily legislated industry (ideally coal mining)
- Relevant qualifications to support a career in training
- A passion for achievement and assisting others to develop
- Excellent time management and record keeping skills

Working knowledge of the Nationally Recognised Core Competency Packaging

Well-developed written and oral communication skills

Positive influencer with ability to engage with people from multi cultures
