About the Role:
We are seeking a full time Maintenance Planner to join our team, on an 8/6 roster. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, your focus will be to plan and schedule day-to-day servicing and major component change-outs. You will work closely with the engineering and maintenance execution team to ensure the fleet is maintained in a safe, reliable and cost-effective way that enables the business to achieve performance targets.
- Work with Maintenance Superintendents to ensure effective resource allocation (such as people, equipment, and resources) to meet maintenance work targets and schedules.
- Develop task plans for the execution of both routine and one-off maintenance activities.
- Schedule day-to-day servicing of all equipment.
- Preparation and delivery of the weekly maintenance plan for equipment
- Providing technical support and advice to the operation
- Managing work order data and maintenance documentation
- Controlling maintenance expenditure
- Review equipment history and recommend changes to component change out schedules where appropriate.
- Ensure accurate records of all servicing, maintenance and repair documents are kept for future reference.
- Produce regular reports from SAP plant module to review service accuracy, component life assumptions and cost data used on both individual and regional sites.
Please note – Meandu is a Residential Mine – no camp accommodation or housing provided.
About You:
- Trade certificate or tertiary qualifications
- Experience in planning and scheduling
- In depth knowledge of plant and machinery within the mining environment and provision of consistent maintenance, planning and servicing practices
- Knowledge of mine operation regulatory and legislative requirements
- Ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and an eye for detail coupled with the ability to work autonomously, work to deadlines and within tight time frames
- Right to permanently live and work in Australia

Meandu Mine
BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.
Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
