About the Role:

We are seeking a full-time Electrical & Infrastructure Planner to join our team on a 9 day fortnight roster. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent (EEM), you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all electrical & infrastructure maintenance across site. You will work closely with engineering, Electrical & Infrastructure supervisors and maintenance execution teams to ensure all electrical assets are maintained safely, reliably and in a cost-effective manner that supports operational performance targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed plans for routine electrical & infrastructure maintenance, inspections, statutory testing and one-off infrastructure upgrades
• Coordinate with Electrical Superintendent to ensure effective allocation of labour, materials and equipment
• Create and manage schedules for electrical servicing across substations, HV/LV distribution, switchgear and site services
• Prepare and deliver weekly electrical & infrastructure maintenance plans aligned to operational priorities
• Provide technical support and guidance on electrical & infrastructure maintenance standards and compliance
• Manage work orders, maintenance documentation and statutory record-keeping
• Monitor and control electrical & infrastructure maintenance expenditure
• Review electrical asset performance history and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies
• Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of all electrical & infrastructure work for future reference and audit requirements
• Produce regular reports through SAP to analyse maintenance accuracy, asset performance, expenditure, and component life cycles

 

About You:

• Trade qualification as an Electrician or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Strong experience in planning and scheduling electrical infrastructure maintenance preferred
• Detailed knowledge of electrical systems within a mining or heavy industrial environment
• Understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements relating to HV/LV electrical infrastructure
• Able to work autonomously and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
• High attention to detail, strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Meandu Mine

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.

Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.

Please note – Meandu is a Residential Mine – no camp accommodation or housing provided.
