About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Mine Site Cleaner to join our Meandu Mine team. The successful applicant will be required to provide cleaning and support as required in a safe and efficient manner to complete all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fit to provide cleaning duties as required.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical and familiarity with MSDS data sheets.
• Have the ability to handle cleaning equipment and store correctly.
• Comply with the operations Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), company standards, rules and procedures.
• Properly use and maintain Person Protective Equipment to protect yourself from illness or injury.

Please note, this role is a residential position; therefore, no camp or accommodation is provided.

About You:

The successful candidate should possess a combination of the following:

• Experience in a cleaning service environment or similar (preferred but not required).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly & professional – ability to deal with fellow workers while simultaneously performing cleaning tasks on site.
• Detail oriented – attention to details at each location and any special requests completed in a timely manner.
• Self-motivated – has the ability to identify any additional work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.
• Strong work ethic, helping to maintain a positive team spirit and safe work environment
• A current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 would be highly advantageous

Meandu Mine

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation's Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.

Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
