Title: CHPP Fitter
Our Meandu Team are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter with fixed plant experience to join the CHPP team.

Meandu Mine
BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.
Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
About the Role:
We are now seeking a Maintenance Fitter with fixed plant CHPP experience to join our team at Meandu. This is a full-time permanent position reporting into the CHPP Superintendent.
Please note that Meandu is a residential mine with no accommodation provided, therefore only those local to the area will be successful in their application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act in a manner consistent with the commitments and principles set out in the relationship charter.
- Comply with company standards, rules & procedures.
- Undertake specific projects as defined by CHPP Maintenance / Operations Supervisor and any duties that your skills and competencies allow and as determined by Superintendent / Manager.
- To ensure repairs and servicing is carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
- Competent in use of diagnostic tools.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, standard and procedures as per PMP.
About You:
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Previous experience in a fixed plant / CHPP environment
- Valid Coal Board Medical (desirable)
- Valid ST11
- Confined Space, GTA & Working at Heights
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the proven ability to liaise with both management and clients
- Uncompromising attitude to safety
