About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to support our longstanding team at Meandu Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems on a range of industry-leading CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi mining equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair electrical systems on CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi mobile plant equipment.
• Maintain and install electrical components in heavy vehicles, plant equipment, and passenger vehicles.
• Troubleshoot electronically controlled systems, including fuel injection, ABS, cruise control, and air conditioning.
• Interpret circuit diagrams, use diagnostic tools, and adjust engine control systems for optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site procedures.

About You:

• A Trade Certificate in Auto Electrical (Australian-recognised).
• Air Conditioning servicing and licence (desirable).
• Experience working with heavy mining equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and fault-finding.
• Familiarity with SAP or other computerised maintenance systems.
• A commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Meandu Mine

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.

Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
