Goonyella

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.
BUMA Australia provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
 
About the Role:

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Goonyella. In this role you will use your expertise to guide a team in providing safe and consistent maintenance, planning and servicing practices. Our fleet at Goonyella comprises of a combination of Cat, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr equipment.

You will be responsible for providing the maintenance team with effective leadership, planning and resources to achieve zero harm, safe systems of work, quality, performance, financial objectives and operational targets, within budget, to targets of availability and reliability and to manufacturer’s specification. Key Responsibilities

•    Positive leadership of a maintenance team, monitor and define performance expectations for maintenance personnel. 
•    Ensure effective resource allocation (such as people, equipment & resources) to meet maintenance work targets and schedules. 
•    Ensure compliance with the requirements of the site Project Management Plan (PMP). 
•    Promote a clean and safe work environment by ensuring familiarity and compliance with the industrial instrument regulating employment conditions at the site. 
•    Monitor work of subcontractors to ensure that they implement the requirements of the Integrated management System (IMS). 
•    Liaise with the other leaders to ensure plant availability needed to optimise production levels. 
 
About You:

•    Trade qualification in a relevant field
•    Extensive experience in the management of mobile and fixed mining equipment maintenance.
•    Experience in plant/equipment maintenance planning. 
•    Demonstrated experience of positive safety leadership skill & safety behaviour. 
•    Demonstrated people management and development skills. 
•    Strong organisational, communication & planning skills. 
•    Experience working for a medium to large mine operator desirable but not essential.
