We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to work on a diverse range of state-of-the-art CAT, Komatsu & Liebherr machinery.

About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time Boilermaker to join our Maintenance Team. As a Boilermaker at Goonyella, you will enjoy a diverse range of work both in the field and workshop including repairing, modifying and refurbishing surface mining equipment. Additionally, you will scope jobs, order parts and work collaboratively with maintenance planners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform fabrication, repair, and refurbishment of surface mining equipment including buckets, trays, guards, and structural components.
- Conduct welding, cutting, and metal fabrication work in both workshop and field environments.
- Inspect and assess equipment to identify structural defects, wear, and required repairs.
- Modify and rebuild components to extend equipment life and improve reliability.
- Scope maintenance jobs, determining labour, materials, and repair methods required.
- Order and coordinate parts and consumables needed to complete maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with maintenance planners and supervisors to schedule and prioritise work.
- Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
About You:
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Experience with heavy duty fabrication, welding, inspections and repairs
- Working at heights and confined spaces tickets
- Current Standard 11 or willingness to obtain

Goonyella
Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.
BUMA Australia provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
