About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time permanent Senior Information & Technology Manager to lead, shape and deliver the future of OT, IT and Cyber at BUMA. In this role you’ll own and optimise our core business systems, strengthen our cybersecurity posture, and ensure secure operations across our mining projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Champion BUMA’s values and lead with a strong focus on safety, people, clients, and performance.
- Develop and deliver IT & OT strategy aligned with BUMA’s business goals and future growth.
- Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentoring, training, and support.
- Oversee daily IT operations, budgets, vendor relationships, and supplier contracts.
- Ensure security, reliability, and compliance of all IT/OT systems, data, and infrastructure.
- Drive continuous improvement through policies, reporting, and performance insights.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning to safeguard critical systems.
- Stay across emerging technologies and industry best practices to deliver innovation and competitive advantage.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in IT management, ideally within mining or heavy industries.
- Proven leadership skills, able to motivate teams and influence executive stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills for all business levels.
- Experience planning, designing, and implementing multiple IT projects in fast-paced environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of IT/OT systems, infrastructure, SAP (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Concur), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, change management, and risk assessment.
- Relevant IT certifications (ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile, SAP) highly desirable.
