About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to be a key member of the Finance team on a full time permanent basis. The role is instrumental in delivering accurate financial reporting, auditing, group consolidation and related financial tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
• Financial reporting and compliance
• Internal and external auditing
• Consolidation of financial data and delivery of reports to stakeholders
• Detailed reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and investigation of discrepancies
• Governance and regulatory adherence
• Process improvement including automation of reporting or ERP enhancements
• Mentoring junior staff
• Collaboration with operations, procurement and project teams
• Presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
About You:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or related field. CPA or CA certification highly regarded
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, auditing and consolidation, ideally in a Big4 accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/AASB) and the ability to apply them in a corporate environment
• Proven ability to consolidate financial information and deliver reports for various stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of key financial drivers and performance metrics
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in SAP, advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI
