Title:  Store person - Blackwater

We’re looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our Blackwater Mine team – permanent role, great roster, and strong company culture.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Store person to join our team at Blackwater Mine in a permanent full-time position. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for receipting, dispatching and maintaining inventory control within the require time frames and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and control the physical issue of parts required for work orders
• Manage returns of stock items surplus to completed work order requirements to warehouse locations and process system adjustments
• Receive and dispatch goods in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Maintain auditable and legible documentation
• Develop and maintain tooling registers
• Maintain lifting equipment registers and certificates
• Conduct inventory audits
• Maintain consumable and PPE stock levels in the free issues area
• Conduct and record daily oil dips
• Ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled in the stores area of the project

About You:

• Previous warehousing experience within construction and/or heavy equipment
• Computerised catalogue and inventory control experience (SAP or similar)
• C Class Drivers Licence
• Forklift Operators ticket
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Work planning and scheduling skills
• Experience working for a medium to large mine operator (preferred)

Blackwater Mine

Located in Central Queensland, Blackwater Mine is one of the state’s largest coal mines, just 21 km from Blackwater. BUMA Australia has been handling truck and excavator pre-strip operations here since 2012, moving over 35 million BCM of material annually.

Our fleet includes Komatsu 930E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks, paired with Hitachi EX8000, Caterpillar 6060, and Hitachi EX3600 excavators.
