Blackwater Mine

 

Located in Central Queensland, BMA’s Blackwater Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 21 kilometres from the town of Blackwater.

The BUMA Australia team has been performing truck and excavator pre-strip operations at Blackwater since May 2012. Over 35 million bank cubic metres of material is mined by our fleets every year.

Our fleet at the mine comprises a combination of Komatsu 930E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks with Hitachi EX8000, Caterpillar 6060 and Hitachi EX3600 excavators.

 

About the Role:

 

As a Site Administrator at Blackwater you will be a key support member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in supporting the team to be able to focus on their main tasks.

 

Some of the duties you will be providing will be:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases. 
  • Invoice management (receipting, purchase order creation, reconciliation, problem investigating, maintain reports such as Receipted Not Vouchered, Logged Voucher and Open Purchase Order).
  • Organise new staff onboarding IT requirements.
  • Assist employees with expense claims through our Concur portal.
  • General Wage / Salary payroll queries
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required by management.
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping for employees.
  • Provide administrative support for any ad-hoc tasks.

 

About You:

 

Our expectations of you are that you will have:

  • Experience in administration duties
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft office suite desirable.
  • Solid computer entry skills and the ability to quickly pick up new systems
  • A passion for helping others and doing whatever jobs need doing
  • Excellent time management and record keeping skills
  • A good team player attitude
