About the Role:
We are seeking full time permanent Production Supervisor to join our Blackwater team. In this role you will use your supervisor skills to lead a team focused on the planning and execution of production targets in line with the mine plan.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day control and supervision of the mine in accordance with Mine Safety and Inspection requirements
- Manage people and equipment and execute production activities
- Managing workloads and allocating duties across the production team to deliver the plan and ensure all development targets are achieved.
- Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulation.
About You:
- 5+ Years Production experience in an open cut coal mining operation
- 2+ Years Supervisor experience in an open cut coal mining operation
- Strong knowledge of relevant QLD Coal Mining legislation
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to motivate teams and achieve business targets safely and efficiently
- Strong people leadership, communication and organisation skills

Blackwater Mine
Located in Central Queensland, Blackwater Mine is one of the state’s largest coal mines, just 21 km from Blackwater. BUMA Australia has been handling truck and excavator pre-strip operations here since 2012, moving over 35 million BCM of material annually. Our fleet includes Komatsu 930E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks, paired with Hitachi EX8000, Caterpillar 6060, and Hitachi EX3600 excavators.
