About the Role:
We are seeking talented and motivated multi-skill operators to join our Blackwater team on a full-time permanent basis. Our Blackwater fleet is comprised of the following: Komatsu 930E, Caterpillar 793’s & 789C’s, CAT D10, CAT D11, Fusion Dozers, CAT 16M & 18M graders. If you have experience operating any of the following, we want to hear from you:
- Haul Trucks (789/793/785) + Water Truck + Grader
- Haul Trucks (789/793/785) + Grader + Dozer (D10, D11)
- Haul Trucks (789/793/785) + Dozer (D10, D11)
About You:
We are looking for motivated and safety-focused Production Operators who meet the following criteria:
- Proven Experience: Hands-on experience operating haul trucks in an open-cut mining environment.
- Technical Skills: Preference for candidates with experience operating D10/D11 Dozers
- Safety-First Mindset: Strong commitment to following site procedures, with excellent attention to detail.
- Results-Driven: Production-oriented with a focus on achieving operational targets efficiently and safely.
- Adaptability & Initiative: Ability to work well under pressure and proactively contribute to team success.
- Licensing & Certifications:
- Current and valid driver’s licence (mandatory)
- Standard 11 (highly regarded)

Blackwater Mine
Located in Central Queensland, Blackwater Mine is one of the state’s largest coal mines, just 21 km from Blackwater. BUMA Australia has been handling truck and excavator pre-strip operations here since 2012, moving over 35 million BCM of material annually.
Our fleet includes Komatsu 930E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks, paired with Hitachi EX8000, Caterpillar 6060, and Hitachi EX3600 excavators.
