About the Role:
We are seeking experienced High Voltage Electricians to join our Maintenance Team at Blackwater. In this position you will be required to perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of High Voltage mining equipment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct servicing, repair, and maintenance of heavy mobile mining machinery.
- Conduct servicing, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial installations.
- Use of various technologies to investigate and diagnose equipment faults Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications
- Complete scheduled maintenance, field breakdowns, servicing - inclusive of component change outs and statutory electrical testing
- Ensure electrical safety is paramount in the execution of all electrical work
- Be a proactive part of the sites electrical team in identifying improvements
- Willingness to be able to perform in supervisory capacity when required
About You:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate/QLD Electrical License (essential)
- Experience working on a coal mine in QLD (essential)
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems including SAP desirable
- Previous experience in servicing and maintenance of mining mobile plant and equipment desirable
- Experience in Cat, Hitachi, Komatsu or Liebherr excavators and Caterpillar trucks (highly desirable)
- Safety focused with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety processes

Blackwater Mine
Located in Central Queensland, Blackwater Mine is one of the state’s largest coal mines, just 21 km from Blackwater. BUMA Australia has been handling truck and excavator pre-strip operations here since 2012, moving over 35 million BCM of material annually.
Our fleet includes Komatsu 930-E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks, paired with Hitachi EX8000, Caterpillar 6060, and Hitachi EX3600 excavators.
BUMA Australia provides labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
