About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our operations in Central Queensland. Reporting to the Project Manager and as a member of the broader Finance team, the Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for providing financial support to the operations of the mine.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of daily / weekly / monthly financial results
- Providing periodic and exception reporting of key physical KPI’s
- Investigation and understanding of variances to estimate / budget and appropriate communication to the project team, with particular emphasis on cost control reporting including analysis of actual and budget unit costs
- Balance sheet control and review of general ledger reconciliations
- Completion of annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Review and control of subcontract agreements
- Managing the monthly claim process and ensuring accuracy of project claims and costs
- Contract awareness and ensuring that BUMA lodges variations as appropriate
- Documenting and responding to correspondence with the Client
- Management and development of the site administrative team
- Effective management of the WHS&Q
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in business or commerce
- CPA / CA qualified or relevant industry experience
- 5+ years’ commercial experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in SAP desirable
- Ability to adapt to a matrix environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
